Travel Health

WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ADMINISTERING TRAVEL VACCINATIONS. (20/6/22)

Please be aware that we do not offer urgent appointments for travel vaccinations.  Please ensure you contact the surgery at least six weeks before travel to allow time for a risk assessment to be carried out and an appropriate appointment to be booked.

A travel questionnaire will need to be completed preferably before your appointment or at the time of the appointment.

Patient Travel Questionnaire

The above link can be downloaded and printed out for completion

Please submit your questionnaire and arrange your consultation at least six weeks prior to your travel date. This is important as vaccination against some diseases requires a course of injections and can take up to two weeks to give you full protection once you have finished the course. Hep B and Rabies take up to 6 months to complete the course.

Our nurse will administer the vaccinations on receipt of payment (if required)

Our list of charges are as follows:

Vaccination Price
Cholera Free of charge
Diphtheria and Tetanus Combined Free of charge
Hepatitis A (Adult or Child) Free of charge
Polio Free of charge
Typhoid Free of charge
Combined Hepatitis A and Typhoid Free of charge
Hepatitis B ( Course of 3 Required)* £60 per injection
Japanese Encephalitis (Course of 2 per adult or 3 per child)* £89 per injection
Meningitis ACWY £60 per injection
Rabies (course of 3 required)* £60 per injection

If you are travelling in less than six weeks:

If we have a suitable appointment available you will be offered a consultation prior to travel, however this may not always be possible, dependent on appointment availability.

If we do not have a suitable appointment available we recommend that you seek advice from a private travel clinic.

If you are travelling within two working days (Mon-Fri):

We recommend that you seek advice from a private travel clinic – please search on-line for your nearest provider.
